archive of my first stream! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WXxC5NbwWsI
Some thoughts for the future:
-maybe have another team member on skype or something like that who can pay attention to live chat and make the stream more interesting for everyone. I can even do a camera picture in picture, but that will require some extra work. I might even make a server that can accept multiple people's streams, and combine them together to make the stream to youtube, which is an approach taken by lots of professional streamers that are geographically seperated.
-I should have plugged in a second monitor to the computer I was streaming from, so that I can keep OBS open on it. I had this idea before the stream, I just forgot to do it. And I have a screen handy that I can use.
-I was using my webcam's builtin Mic here, but I should have another ModMic coming soon. The issue with the ModMic4 that I have is that the cord isn't detachable, and it's a real pain to disconnect it from my work computer since it's almost woven through the desk. So I have a ModMic 5 on order, which I will use at this computer. I wasn't just getting that for streaming, but also for team communication in games.
-when a data and time for a stream is picked, maybe we should be putting that out our our facebook and other social media?
I'm also interested in any other ideas or critiques that would make the stream better. My goal is to use youtube streaming to increase our visibility.
