Wolf Children

Post by Marji4x » Mon Jan 12, 2015 6:07 pm

Here's the trailer! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8SlB-SpDMKI

I thought I had posted about this before but perhaps not!

Anyone seen this?! I literally started crying about 5 minutes in...then tried to hold back tears for the whole movie, unsuccessfully, then cried INTO THE NIGHT after it was over. I am crying now, writing this post, and I cried again after I looked up the trailer.

If you like being soggy and miserable and you love wolves go watch this movie IMMEDIATELY.

Haven't seen much anime but it looks pretty visually appealing. I like modern animation XP

Oooh I LOVE this movie. It's been so long since I've seen it but I remember how deeply it moved and inspired me. It's so visually and musically appealing too. I need to rewatch this some time!

Yea this was one of the first non-Ghibli anime that I absolutely loved. It makes you feel happy and sad at the same time, you know?

You guys should check out SUmmer Wars, too...it's by the same director and it is not nearly so sad (though beautiful and touching as usual).

Oh god, not Summer Wars. I really didn't get the love that film got. Beautiful animation, especially the contrast with the Oz stuff, but it wasn't nearly as powerful as Wolf Children. And speaking of, he has a film scheduled to come out in 2015, so I'm looking forward to it a whole lot.
