Humans....

Post by White Fall » Sat Jul 04, 2015 10:47 am

I've never been the best at humans and I'm trying to find a style that matches the one I have with my animal characters. I think I've just about found it but there still are small things--LIKE THE EYES! (They change in the first few frames if you look closely lol I couldn't decide on the style). I got everything figured out but how to do the eyes. It's so frustrating because I'm so close but so far away. Eyes, hands, and hair are three big things in a style.

It took me YEARS to be at all comfortable with drawing humans, and I'm still no Rembrandt. It just takes continued practice, though. I'll tell you right now that you're doing better than I was at your age, so you're headed the right direction :)
Zib, go suffer for your art.

Wait. 20 and 20 and 20 is not 50!

Remind me some time to share my old human artwork... It's ugly as heck and I'm still not okay with them! XD
This is not the inker you are looking for.

And years it will take me to be comfortable with humans. And years it will take be to be comfortable with 3D animation. I feel like 3D will be my toughest challenge when I get to it. It's so different.

Yeah... my old human drawings were... let's just not go there lol

It's good to know I'm heading in a good direction :) It's a start!

I'd much rather animate a 3D human than a 2D @.@ I'm just awful with proportions and really feeling the limbs... Heh.. remind me to never show you any of my human drawings from ever XD (*cries* Even though I honestly have to do them...*cries*)

I'm weird because I like to draw humans, but it just takes a lot of trying and practicing 'til you get it. Life drawing classes really do help.

What's a bit more difficult for me to draw correctly are buildings and mechanical things. I can eventually get something done alright, but it just doesn't come as naturally as drawing organic things.

I love doing trees and rivers :cheese: Unfortunetly, though... my character creating skills are subpar, as much as I love doing it >.> I like mechanical things but I can understand the struggle. Particularly in robotic characters, it all just bleeds together after awhile and I barely even know what I'm looking at  I can do city scenes, though...
