Post by Flydeto » Tue May 31, 2011 5:32 pm

to say the truth its the first animal i have ever drawn and its the first picture since like 8 years, so pls dont scold me

Thanks buddy, that was actually really, really useful! I now know how to draw a wolf at last! And your pictures aren't bad! They're better than mine! :cheese:

It is pretty good for a start, and I know you know your size proportions are a little off, but I just want to point out some things.

Regarding the video tutorial, The snout of the wolf seems a tad too small. I would say to make it longer. The ears, also, seem a bit too pointy. I'd round them up a bit. And even the head is small there. And something that many people miss, is that wolves don't have such a big forehead. It's slightly angled downward. http://www.skullsite.co.uk/Wolf/wolf_su_lat.jpg

Drawing a wolf only takes practice, because we all have our different styles and ways of doing things. I found that the best way to understand wolf anatomy, however, is to draw the wolf skeletal structure: http://doglate.deviantart.com/gallery/? ... n#/d3bsrhr
