It's been a rotten year for pets this year. This morning I had to put down Honey, my 13-yo orange cat. She was in really bad shape, and the vet thinks it might have been due to a brain tumor or stroke. Poor kitty. At least we were visiting home, so she can be buried here.

The harsh life of pets... My dog had to be put down (when I was 10) because she was going entirely senile and blind. It would've been more cruel to keep her alive. But they always stay vivid in our memories <3

Her son's really taking it the hardest. He's never been a cuddler, but we curled up together tonight and watched "Inside Out". He tried to purr. He failed.

Awe, so sorry :C

I am not generally a cat person but the only cat I ever really loved had to be put down after contracting every possible cat STD (he was a street cat before he came to live with us). It's a really hard time.

Hoping your other kitty's doing better and has recovered a bit. Inside Out seems like the perfect thing to watch at that time....well for humans at least.

Sounds like your kitty partied hard! Somehow I see him as some sort of cat rock start. Sex, drugs, and rock and roll. Only the good die young. That sort of thing.

Punkin is definitely doing better. There's less crying and he's finishing his dinner, though he still very much wants to be in physical contact with me as much as possible.

Uzuri, I'm sorry this is so late, but I'm really sorry for your loss of both Honey and Sugar. I hope things are looking a little better lately.

Well... Punkin's licked himself down to a skin-kitty and I'm so busy I don't know which way is up, but other than that, I guess things are OK. O.o
