Lakota was euthanised earlier today...

this was the second time I have lost a loved one, the other being the wolf Mackenzie, and it was just as hard this time...
during my visit to the IWC, I was permitted to meet these wonderful wolves, and they have had a huge impact on my life. They meant more to me than most things.
I knew they had to go sometime, but this was a bit sooner than I expected...

Rest in peace Lakota...

*sniffle*

Not to downplay or demean the passing of such a beloved and known wolf or anything, but ... with Palin back in Alaska, a lot of wolves whose names we won't know are going to be euthanized for reasons other than it being their time in the continuation of aerial slaughter. :/

Lakota had a good, long, peaceful life and I'm sure was loved by anyone with the fortune to meet him. Unfortunately, I'm in the wrong corner of the country.
At long last, the saga of "Kaze, Ghost Warrior" by CGI animation visionary Amadhia Albee (formerly Tim Albee) is moving forward! Check out http://www.kazeghostwarrior.com/ for updates.
